I Am But A Man

I enter your presence, with a heart of despair..

I must make known, that I am broken with fear.

Beyond my understanding, I confess with regret..

My status in life, is more than I get.

Throughout my days, I have marveled by much..

Destined and hopeful, for the Master's touch.

Kindled with flames, of fire I stand..

In pursuit of happiness and grace in demand.

Down in the valley, I am prepped to go..

For more than a conqueror, there are songs to know.

I am but a man, whose bones have been blessed..

To scale every mountain and give off my best.

I will travel to portlands, while it is day..

In quiet and worship, I avail to pray.

Within the realms, of seafaring gaze..

I am inspired, to shout out with praise.

Wander I do, at times to prevail..

As yearnings of laughter, soothes all my ail.

My fate and my fortune, are barrels of hope..

As help from above, enters my scope.
