A King's Daughter
I am a king's daughter, called forth by name..
My garments smell of cassia, with pearls on my train.
My tongue is a pen, ready to be used..
And my house is all dressed, with linen in the pews.
Prosperous I am, with a sceptre to my bone..
Anointed from my crown, for I am not alone.
Oil in my cup and favour where I go..
This righteous king's daughter, will destroy every foe.
Troubled waters roar, but not as loud as I..
Under every teardrop, my prayer touches the sky.
My father's house is mine and he is in my heart..
Therefore I am blessed, with gladness from the start.
Fairer than all fortune, my days will be with truth..
For grace is poured into my lips, as virtue was in Ruth.
Among all my companions, I stand above them all..
Assured in great affection, to rise and not to fall.
