Mend The Fence

 What would it matter tomorrow...

If today we don't agree?

For we were told that for all time.

We could all be free.

We smile and say that all is well.

And things will all work out.

But all the while we sit and stare.

At the window with so much doubt.

Where once we thought that dreams came through.

Reality took a toll.

And in the very midst of fear.

Chaos reared its head to tear.

How I wish with time we heal.

Of all the pain inside.

For yesterday is gone forever.

And the future is not never.

So come with me dear friend of mine.

And let us look to God.

For HE alone can mend the fence.

And fill us with much sense.
