I Seek Godly Counsel

 I pray tonight,

by faith and not sight..

Presumptuous sins do not,

dominate me with might.

In Jesus Name, I am covered,

by the Blood..

And I will be upright,

to walk in delight.


The words that I speak,

I pray Oh Lord..

They would bless and release,

a life in accord.

Let no secret faults,

lead me astray..

But daily Father,

I would know my way.


I seek Godly counsel,

in all I must do..

So I ask you Jesus,

for a mind that is new.

At times I feel discouraged,

and my heart is sore..

So hear me from heaven,

as I knock on your door.

 The house you called home, stands empty and alone. The laughter and the passion, brings ache to my bone. I am crying within, and without, I am lost. For you are not here, and I must walk in the dust. I remember the days, when the smell of your fare.. Moved through the mountains, and was carried with care. You neglected to say, goodbye for all times.. Now tears fall like raindrops, without bells, without chimes. Why! Oh why.. did you have to go? To a place angels meet, where no seeds have to sow.. Destinies met, on a fine summer's day.. Now memories remain, in the closet, as I pray. As I follow the pathway, where your feet once trod.. The scent of your fragrance, is the kiss of a bud. Let the earth be reminded, as I ache to my core.. You were more than a conqueror, when you walked through the door.
