The Choices You Make

 When you think about gratitude,

 what do you say?

Is your heart full of pride, 

as you walk along the way?

Do you take for granted, 

the things you are given?

And gather more substance,

 for the guile you are living?


King Solomon declared,

 all he had was vanity..

The riches of this world

 and the wiles for insanity.

What you purpose in your heart,

 you feed with your deeds..

So think highly of thanksgiving

 and the sowing of good seeds.


To be grateful to God, 

is much more than words..

To trust and obey, 

is more than food to the birds.

While others are proud

 and choose to reject..

You must follow the instructions, 

of the Lord with respect.


You will live everyday, 

with the choices you make..

For the good fight of faith, 

you must never forsake.

The consequences of sin, 

is for all eternity..

So hasten your footsteps

 and get into the ark of mercy.

 Above it all, you are the God who hides.. For your heartfelt yearning, is to those who abides. The covenant of everlasting, to the sons of men.. Will mark every footstep, till time shall transcend.  Rest in peace, has a cost attached.. In the realm of each breath, to God you must latch. On this journey called life, you have choices to make.. For the consequences of making the wrong ones, will trap you in a fiery lake. Do not reject, the offering of the Lord.. In word and in deed, as you cut every cord. You are privileged to have, an opportunity to serve.. Where the Son shines bright and to receive what you deserve. Your life on earth, is not yours to claim..
