Open Up Your Eyes

 The light of the world is come..

To seek and to save more than some.

Open up your eyes, that you might see..

Only in Jesus, can you be set free.


You cannot want the blessings 

and not the one who blesses..

You cannot want to build, 

when your foundation is not firm.

Where you are going, 

only you can decide..

Make haste while it's daylight,

 for time will soon be gone.


You might think to yourself,

 you have all the time in the world..

To make merry and be happy,

 for all it is worth.

Perhaps you should ponder,

 of the road up ahead..

For before the cock crows, 

you might be caught dead.


Give Jesus a chance and

 know who HE is..

Invite HIM into your heart

 and do not look back.

The pathway to heaven,

 is only through Him..

He is the door to the Father, 

who will cleanse you from sin.


Why should you worry, 

when you can pray..

Why should you sit at a table, 

that will soon decay.

There is a crown with your name, 

so come as you are..

For the day is fast approaching, 

when you might see it from afar.

 Above it all, you are the God who hides.. For your heartfelt yearning, is to those who abides. The covenant of everlasting, to the sons of men.. Will mark every footstep, till time shall transcend.  Rest in peace, has a cost attached.. In the realm of each breath, to God you must latch. On this journey called life, you have choices to make.. For the consequences of making the wrong ones, will trap you in a fiery lake. Do not reject, the offering of the Lord.. In word and in deed, as you cut every cord.
