You Are Not Your Own
Seek not glory, in your own strength..
For your ways are unrighteous and your path is at length.
Fulfill your purpose and humble yourself..
And gather the grapes, like bottles on a shelf.
A donkey stands meek, without question or post..
To carry the burden, of breakthrough the most.
Unlike a horse, it is not made for war..
Yet all four legs, lifts your weight from the floor.
By divine order, you should get up and go..
To kindle the flame, with the seeds you must sow.
Look to the Lord, for favour and meat..
And blow on your trumpet, in the midst of defeat.
You are not your own, to do what you should..
Your feet were ordained, to trample on wood.
Upon the high places, your eyes will behold..
The glorious splendor, of the courses of gold.
Flourish in the fold, of which you will be..
Refrain from the wrapping, of fortune you might see.
You are here to proclaim, the gift of the Cross..
So press on with gladness and show the way to the lost.
