Those Whom I Trusted

I have distanced myself, from Sanballat and friends..

For the road I must travel, I must do it alone.

To fulfill my purpose, I must sever some ties..

As the scent of tomorrow, cannot fragrant any lies.

A daily struggle, at times is my faith..

But I must position myself, without burdens of hate.

I believe in the Lord and trust in His Word..

So all of my days, His voice can be heard.

I have been bitten by fleas, from my crown to my feet..

I have scrambled and fallen, on days of defeat.

My barns laid barren, while my friends had a feast..

Yet my fortune was undaunted, from the west to the east.

Those whom I trusted, are now shadows in the past..

With different agendas, I have spoiled every task.

I am building a temple, where prayer never fails..

Without all the vexings, of captives and ails.

Profound is my change, in fact and in thought..

Though contention and foxes, can so easily be sought.

I am assured of my worth, to rise and be strong..

For the day I was washed, I was fashioned without wrong.
