The Paved Broad Road

Lord, you have equipped me with grace, to love like you do..

To overcome obstacles and receive my due.

To walk in your footsteps and sing like a lark..

You promised to be my shelter, and light in the dark.

Yea and Amen, you ordained me to have..

To soothe my soul and be anointed with balm.

While others choose the highlights, of the paved broad road..

Lord

right beside me, you are the lifter of my load.

On lonely days, when the sky is grey..

I sit deep and ponder, about how Jesus made a way.

You called me from nothing, to be a sheep in the fold..

Forever and ever, beyond days of old.

Lord without you, I am nothing in this world..

In surrender I profess, to do as I am told.

Help me to cope, when challenges arise..

For in servitude, I will see through disguise.
