I Traveled Through Prayer

I traveled through prayer, and I touched the Lord's ear..

For my heart was burdened, and filled with despair.

There were questions to answer, so I sought through the vail..

For into His presence, there was neither cancer nor ail.

Thou art my righteousness, my strength and my stay..

My drink in the morning, and the shower on the way.

My rock and my fortress, and all that I need..

So anoint me Jesus, to uproot every weed.

My words of yearning, were falling like rain..

In weeping and weakness, from care and restrain.

I needed attention, so I sought the Lord..

Withholding nothing, I was crying to my God.

Run like the wind, I yearned in travail..

As I searched deep in mercy, to not be in jail.

Give me my breakthrough, and break off this chain..

For in You there is freedom, pouring down like rain.

I journeyed through places, my eyes never saw..

I battled and struggled, to knock on Your door.

While voices and silence, were shadows around..

I persevered with purpose, for grace to abound.
