Your Fathers Of The Past

I watched you enter, into the secret place..

And my heart was all rejoicing, with patience for this race.

I yearned in my soul, for victory to be won..

As the emptiness as shadows, erased what was fun.

I searched deep within, for comfort to come forth..

To hear the sounds of silence, as it shattered what was sought.

Around the walls of Jericho, I marched with the tide..

For I beckoned every fetter, to be broken as I cried.

My eyes sought your person, whose heart I call my own..

To come hither quickly, though trialed in your bone.

Your portion and your fortune, became mine to bear..

Withholding nothing, I surrendered without fear.

As I watched through the vail, I wept with each blink..

For the God I belong to, would never let you sink.

Your fathers of the past, left a legacy of pain..

But favour through the darkness, came for

your stain.
