My Anchor's Name Is Jesus
Gradually my heart, is as a reckoning stone..
For this overwhelming feeling, sits well on my bone.
My dwelling is my fortune, and therein do I know..
Above all my trials, I will rise as I go.
I declare God's anointing, dresses me with grace..
I say to the wind, I will not be trampled on this race.
The life in my tongue, is worthy of the course..
So day by day I worship, for I know who is boss.
I live not in Egypt, but in the land of the free..
Where billows of misfortune, no longer is my tea.
Thus as a remnant, I will feast from the fare..
Just as the Lord, has considered me His dear.
Among all the nations, I am a child of the King..
My eyes are enlarged, as the diamond on my ring.
I hope in the Word, as my pilgrimage house..
For my anchor's name is Jesus, and HE is not a timid mouse.
I prophesy over my life, to obey all the while..
The precepts and principles, that my body does not defile.
As the Spirit of the Lord, quickens in my heart..
The taste of sweet communion, is as wisdom to the smart.
