Hello Here And Goodbye There
I miss the days, when we were young..
When every child, would gather around.
The games we played, the meals we shared..
The laughter, love and joy, so dear.
The raindrops fell, upon your head..
When nothing secret, was ever said.
Barefoot on,
the stones we walked..
As silence ran, where others stalked.
Open doors, were never shut..
While we inhaled, the scents in pots.
Afraid of darkness, we were not..
For time stood still, as flames grew hot.
Mud on feet, was what we wore..
With timeless smiles, upon each core.
Hello here and goodbye there..
Were shouts we lifted, beyond compare.
Through the valley, through the plain..
We held out hands, to work and gain.
Though memories travel, we still remain..
Intertwined, along the misty train.
