Amazing Love

 Battered and bruised, you pursued with grace..

Maintaining your focus, you were not clothed with lace.

Withholding nothing, you sacrificed your life..

That all mankind, could become your loving wife.


You poured into those, who sat with you at meat..

As you presented your body, and blood at their feet.

Though your cup was not removed, for the Father's WILL, to be done..

Wrapped around your sacrifice, the promise was already won.


Agony.. Oh agony... the pain so severe..

The stripes and the piercings, for those you held dear.

Though your sins be like scarlet, I WILL make them like new..

Said the Son to the chosen, as he gave heaven's due.


'Twas but for redemption, God gave his son..

The price upon Calvary, redeemed everyone.

For all generations, YOU triumph for us..

Jesus my Saviour, in you I will trust.


Amazing love, we did not deserve..

A gift from the Saviour, and life to preserve.

By the power of your blood, we have been made whole..

Oh Lion of Judah, you are keeper of

 Above it all, you are the God who hides.. For your heartfelt yearning, is to those who abides. The covenant of everlasting, to the sons of men.. Will mark every footstep, till time shall transcend.  Rest in peace, has a cost attached.. In the realm of each breath, to God you must latch. On this journey called life, you have choices to make.. For the consequences of making the wrong ones, will trap you in a fiery lake. Do not reject, the offering of the Lord.. In word and in deed, as you cut every cord. You are privileged to have, an opportunity to serve.. Where the Son shines bright and to receive what you deserve. Your life on earth, is not yours to claim..
