Your Friend Might Be Your Foe

Your friend might be a wolf, who will hit you with a brick..

Your friend might be the one, who will drive you away with a stick.

Your friend may hold your hand, for a minute or a day.

Your friend might laugh at you, when you thought they would pray.

Not everyone around you, is there to shield your fall.

There are those in darkness, who are shrouded in a wall.

Henceforth to the end, your friend might be your foe..

So see into the Spirit, for the wiles you will know.

From birth you were protected, by the one who died for you.

Dear and care will keep you, though you know not what is due.

By faith into the unknown, your path will be all clear..

Only if you carry, the cost of Christ's tear.

Great will be your fortune, if only for a day.

For wherewithal you journey, your heart will see you stay.

While wars around you rages, be sure your eyes keep watch.

For in the blink of twilight, your soul could be all crushed.

Know which way you tarry, though heavy be your weight.

For days may come severely, when your strength may test your faith.

Garner in your storehouse, all the meat to fill your bones..

And pray to God the Father, for to rise from all the stones.
