My Ship Has Sailed

You ran from Me, to many a mile...

You rejected My love, like it was going out of style.

You spat in My face and laughed Me to scorn...

Though I  sent My Son to die, so you could be reborn.

The choices you made, were not to glorify Me...

The company you kept, were not with those who were free.

The laughter and the wealth, you indulged with fine fare...

Were the falling away, of My heartfelt tear.

I held the door open, for you to come in...

I wanted your life, to be free from all sin.

You wasted the time, I allotted for you..

And blew out your candle, like those who are few.

I sent forth My Prophets, to minister to you...

In hope you might heed, to reap what was your due.

In all that I did, you sought not My face...

Now your bed is all made, but not with My grace.

Too late my creation, but I have gathered My sheep..

And you must depart and in hell you must

weep.

My Blood was your wine, but you hated My ale.

So now and forever, My ship has sailed.
