Mercy Says NO

Mercy says no, when I want to give up..

When the cares of this life, are the drink in my cup.

Mercy says no, when I am weak to the bone...

For with feather-like touches, He says I am not alone.

Mercy say no, when I am kicked to the curb...

And raises up a banner, that reads, DO Not Disturb.

Mercy says no, when I weep in the night...

And whispers in my ear, to walk by faith and not sight.

Mercy says no, when my cupboard is dry...

And I fall to my knees and groan... OH GOD WHY.

Mercy says no, when I don't know what to do...

And breathes His breath on me and make me like new.

Mercy says no, when I am in a lion's den...

And fear grips my soul, as to the floor I descend.

Mercy says no, and HE comes like a flame...

With His consuming fire, to take away my pain.
