My Vanilla Ice Cream

You are my vanilla ice cream, with a cherry on top.

And I combine all the flavours, as I lick every drop.

In hunger I seek more,  so I knock on Your door.

In earnest expectation, as I bow to

the floor.

The sugar in my tea, are like mountains that melt.

For the presence of the Lord, is the leather on my belt.

As manna falls from heaven, like raindrops on my head.

The feasting of Your Word, is where I make my bed.

Lover of my soul, I am yours to the core.

For with boldness as a lion, I will shout with great roar.

As Job in my latter, I am blessed above the rest.

For when persecutions come, I will pass every test.

Favour, faith and fortune, I will taste everyday.

For the promises of God, are the gold on my way.

Like the fruit of the vine, I will drink to my fill.

And pour into others, to do the Lord's will.
