I Died To Myself

Walk by my side, every day of my life.

And shelter me with mercy, as a husband to his wife.

In all that I do, may I never break your heart.

For I count it a joy, to renew my daily path.

I died to myself, when I chose the narrow path.

And in faithfulness I tarry, with a broken and contrite heart.

Unworthy I am, to come beyond the vail.

Yet in surrender, I am grateful for my bail.

Where I once was, I am no longer there.

For You brought me out from bondage and into your loving care.

To know I am chosen, to launch out in the deep.

Fills me with gladness, and

I don't have to weep.
