Oh Enemy And Friend
You may not know it, but victory is mine.
You may not understand it, but I am never unkind.
All through the day, in humility I pray.
For without Godly counsel, I will fall and decay.
You may not see the tears, I cry everyday.
And you may not hear my voice, when I can't find my way.
But slow, if I must and weak I might be.
I will always overcome and from sin, be set free.
You may not be my rescue or come to my aid.
And when you throw stones, you might think I am afraid.
But what you do not know, oh enemy and friend.
I have a Saviour, who will be with me to the end.
You may not think I'm pretty and you laugh at me in scorn.
And often when you gather, you think to toot your horn.
But I pray your eyes be opened, for only then you'll see.
I am the
Master's, work of art and I carry His love in me.
