As You Say Goodbye

 If you had to walk your last mile today. To choose a path where death could not stay. Where smiles were fed. And couples wed. And the never ending love, of others were met..

If the last breath you take, on this earth gave hope. To those around you, in their weakness to cope. Where barriers broke. And needs were net. To build a bridge. Where raindrops met.

If the last thing you see, before your eyes are closed. Are flowers in bloom... and no tears or gloom. Through sunshine and clouds, where the rainbow dwell. And beautiful angels, in wonder would tell.

If the hand that you hold, was the last touch you feel. And the voice that you hear, sang a song with every word. As your bags are


all packed. With the choices you made. To sleep right beside you. Wherever you are laid.

What wonder it will be, as you say your goodbye. To know you were not, as others had tried. To leave thoughts of comfort. With loved ones behind. What joy to behold, as you journey from this world. That your life here was always, to fulfill your goal.

I say I love you, but my words do not.. I shout with glee, like a shining pot. My eyes grow dim, to the sights I see.. For my actions speaks louder, than who I was born to be.
