Rainy Days

On rainy days, I sit and read.

With blankets, opened, to my need.

A cup of tea, to warm inside.

A flickered flame, and deepened tide.

On rainy nights, I hold him tight.

With feet entangled, till morning light.

If the bugs come out to play.

I know the Lord, will have His say.

Oh raindrops, as you fall, I pray.

To ask the Lord, and hear Him say.

Daughter, dear, you'll be alright.

For I am here, with all my might.
