Don't You Know

I watch you as you walk on by. I see your smile. You try so hard to hide behind it... but don't you know, I see..

You clothe yourself, in dresses fine. Your makeup and hair are always on par..... but don't you know I see....

You walk uprightly everywhere and never seem to care. Your footsteps flatter with each stride...  but don't you know I see...

When asked if everything's alright... a YES, is to be heard. With honey dripping from your lips, your voice portrays, it is well.... but don't you know I see....

I see the sadness in your eyes.

I see the trembling on your lips.

I see the brokenness of your heart.

I see the ache with each stride.

I see the bruises behind the makeup.

I see the torn underwear.

I see the weakness that you bear.

I see the loneliness.

I see the pain.

I see the frustration and the lack of care.

Though at times, you carry burdens and you think that no one knows. Remember that there's always someone, who watches over you.

Stretch forth your hand and touch the space. So that your hands be filled.

And know, forever, I am near.

To dry your weeping eyes.

To wrap you in my loving arms.

And let you know, I care.
