Do Not Carry Hate

Do not carry hate, my dear.

For in your heart, is where it will stay.

Do not let the hurt inside.

Dictate how you live your life.

Though the choices, that were made.

By others, who, with blades, they laid.

To cut asunder, dreams you had.

And cause your future, to be bad.

If you let what others did.

To take a hold of you.

You would never free yourself.

To walk a different path.

So let go of the pain you feel.

So love can make you heal.

For you are not, who others say.

Forgive, forget, today.

Rise above the tidal wave.

For you are not a slave.

And march on, free,  of grief and pain.

Your conquered lot, you will proclaim.
